Monsvini is the Bordeaux blend that the winery produces with the best grapes of the Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon varieties grown within the estate vineyards. The name Monsvini (from the Latin "Hill of Wine") derives from the toponym that was used for the Gradisciutta hill in the oldest maps. The choice of a common language is not accidental, as the grapes come from both the Italian and Slovenian sides of the border, which unites the hills of these two countries.
The grapes come from vineyards located between 120 and 220 meters above sea level on Mt. Calvario, in Grdinca and in the Slovenian locality of Zali Breg
